Whew! What a season. We will include a post-season wrap in coming weeks, but this newsletter will highlight the performance of our (20!) teams at USAV Nationals in Detroit over the past two weeks.
Those who attended both have learned there is a big difference in the level of competition at USAV Nationals as compared to AAU. Anyone can enter AAU's, but teams must qualify to enter USAV Nationals. Here is an illustrative example:
The takeaway here is that USAV Nationals are much more competitive than AAU's and there are few if any "gimmes". For every one of our 250 or so athletes who earned the opportunity to compete at USAV Nationals, there were 1000 girls sitting at home who would have given their right arm to be in Detroit.
